This year, Theatre at The Mill marks its 15th anniversary, celebrating a decade and a half of bringing diverse and high-quality live performances to the community since opening on Saturday 30 January 2010.
Located within the historic Mossley Mill, a restored 19th-century flax spinning mill just 10 minutes from Belfast, the 400-seat theatre blends historical charm with modern amenities, including free parking, a licensed bar, and restaurant facilities.
The mill’s transformation from industrial site to arts venue is a story of successful regeneration. After being acquired by Newtownabbey Borough Council in 1996, the site underwent extensive restoration, culminating in the theatre’s completion in December 2009 and its grand opening featuring the Ulster Orchestra in January 2010.
The first season launched with the fabulous Sweeney Todd in February 2010.
Over the past 15 years, Theatre at The Mill has thrived, offering a varied programme of musicals, dance, drama, comedy, concerts, family shows, and workshops, attracting audiences from across the region and beyond.
To celebrate this incredible milestone, the team at the Theatre at The Mill have arranged the most exciting and diverse programme of shows to date!
